The Houston Minority Business Enterprise Center (HMBEC) is committed to building long-term growth and ensuring economic sustainability of minority business enterprises. HMBEC provides access to value-added business consulting services, capital and financing resources, and contracts with government and private entities. HMBEC enhances the economic performance and growth of minority business enterprises in the Houston/Sugar Land/Baytown Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) by providing assistance through:

starAt least 51% owned by an ethnic minority.

starLocated within the region.

starA for profit entity generating, or having the potential to generate $500,000 or more in annual gross revenue so that they can positively impact long-term economic growth and job creation within the region.
